Provides a P2P network related status detection tool and Miner log statistics.

    Used to analyse the current P2P network connection status of Hotspot.


1.P2P network DNS connection

    Test the connectivity of the current gateway with the seed node specified by seed.helium.io. Two randomly selected gateways are tested for connectivity and the results are shown in Status.


  Status :

  • OK :At least one of the seed nodes is connected.
  • ERROR :Both of the selected seed nodes are unreachable.

 

2.Miner Relay gateway connection

Test the connectivity of the current gateway to the trunk gateway (only if the gateway is in the Relayed state can be tested) The status description is as follows:


  Status 

  • OK:Connection to the Relay gateway is working.
  • ERROR:Connection to Relay gateway failed.
  • NORELAY:Gateway are non-Relayed.  (The current display shows a bug and the non-Relayed device will also show ERROR, Fixed in the next version)

  Delay :

  • Delay to Relay gateway in ms, -1 means connection failure

3.Connectivity with other gateways

    To check the connectivity of the current gateway with other gateways, the Gateway addr can use any of the following three formats

  • Communication address of the gateway:/p2p/{onboardingKey}
  • Full address of non-relay gateway:/ip4/{IP}/tcp/{PORT}
  • Full address of the relay gateway:/p2p/{relay-OnboardingKey}/p2p-circuit/p2p/{onboardingKey}

  Status :

  • OK: Connection to other gateways is OK
  • ERROR: Connection to other gateways failed

  Delay :

  • Delay with other gateways, in ms, -1 means connection failure

4.Gossip Peer Connectivity

    Detecting connectivity between the current Hotspot and gossip peers.


  Status :

  • OK : The command was executed correctly
  • ERROR : Both selected seed nodes cannot be connected
  • The results show the connectivity test data for each gossip peer

5.Miner log statistics 

  Miner log statistics analyses the data sent and received by miner, showing the miner log data for the last 7 days, with the following statistics:

 

send_witness_success:
statistics of miner's attempts to send witness message success to the challenger
send_witness:

statistics of miner's attempts to send a witness message to the challenger

re_sending_witness:
statistics on attempts to resend a witness message after it failed
send_witness_max_retry:
statistics on the maximum number of re-sending attempts
dial_challenger_closed:
statistics on the number of failed attempts to send a message that was closed
dial_challenger_timeout_proxy_session:
 statistics on the reason for the failure to send a timeout_proxy_session
dial_challenger_stream_down: 
statistics for the reason of failure to send stream_down
challenger_not_found: 
 statistics for not_found as the reason for sending failure
dial_challenger_proxy_loop: 
 statistics for the reason of failure to send proxy_loop
dial_challenger_limit_exceeded: 
statistics that the reason for the failure is limit_exceeded
dial_challenger_fail_dial_proxy:
statistics for fail_dial_proxy as the reason for sending failure


P2P problems are the result of multiple factors and affect all devices in the network. We recommend that you configure your network correctly to ensure high bandwidth, low latency, low packet loss and recommend the use of a network cable.
